When I was sick, everyone disappeared. I also had NHL (ALCL), and when I wasn't much older than you.
But I also wasn't treated poorly. People didn't ask too many questions. Maybe it's because I put on a brave face, but nobody seemed worried for me.
I just wasn't particularly fun to party with.
