I'm a cis-perceived trans woman. I can tell you that any benefits I get from that are nullified by the jealousy of other trans people who don't have what I have.

But they have community. I don't. I've ostracized for not conforming to "queerness."

Ironic, isn't it?

What's worse is that I still fight for the cause in my own way, much like Mayor Pete. I find his situation far too relatable.
