I hope the context of this is you trying to help people get away from narcissists. Because take it from me, all this mitigation is never worth it in the end. Just walk away.

Honestly, I don't even believe that all of these techniques can work. For example, when a narcissist says something is too expensive, they're saying they don't want to pay for it. Simply pointing out that it's worth the cost is not normally going to change their mind.

I say the best method is "gray rock and walk."
