As a binary trans woman, I can attest that this attitude comes from both the left and the right.

To most self-proclaimed "allies,", the LGBT+ community is a nebulous, gelatinous communist blob of gay men, gay men in drag, "very gay men" (transfemme people), and "confused women." And so to them, supporting one is the same as supporting all.

The narrative of us being just like everyone else is utterly obliterated. The transsexual men and women who express it largely assimilate into society, leaving contemporary gender activists to gamble our life-saving medical care in order to push their deconstructionist agenda on an unwilling electorate.

To add insult to injury, we have been erased from under the umbrella and are accused of internalized transphobia whenever we speak up for our rights.

We wouldn't have to bother if they didn't put us in the crosshairs. We don't care what they do. Just don't do it in our name.
